Terms & Conditions
Last updated: June 7, 2026
These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") govern your use of Quota ("the app"), a macOS application developed by Mohamed Mostafa Fawzi ("we", "us", the "Developer"). By downloading, installing, or using Quota, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the app.
1. License
Quota is licensed, not sold, to you. We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use Quota on Apple-branded devices that you own or control, in accordance with these Terms, the App Store Terms of Service, and Apple's Licensed Application End User License Agreement (the "Standard EULA", available at apple.com/legal/…/stdeula). Where these Terms conflict with the Standard EULA, the Standard EULA governs to the extent of the conflict.
2. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the app, except to the extent permitted by applicable law.
- Redistribute, resell, sublicense, or lease the app.
- Use the app to violate any applicable law or regulation.
3. Tips and in-app purchases
Quota offers optional, voluntary tips through Apple's In-App Purchase system as a way to support development. You acknowledge that:
- Tips are not required and unlock no features — Quota is fully functional without them.
- All purchases are processed by Apple, and Apple's terms and refund policies apply. We do not process or store payment information.
- Tips are generally non-refundable except where required by law or at Apple's discretion. Refund requests are handled by Apple.
4. Data usage figures are estimates
Quota's speed, latency, and data-usage measurements are derived from operating-system counters and network probes and are provided for informational purposes only. They are approximations and may differ from the figures reported by your internet service provider, mobile carrier, router, or other tools. Do not rely on Quota's figures for billing, contractual, or other consequential decisions. We are not responsible for any charges, overages, or costs incurred in reliance on the app's measurements.
5. "As is" — no warranty
The app is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the app will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that any defects will be corrected.
6. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, in no event shall the Developer be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of data, revenue, or profits, arising out of or related to your use of (or inability to use) the app, even if advised of the possibility of such damages. To the extent liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the amount you paid (if any) for the app in the twelve months preceding the claim.
7. Changes to the app and these Terms
We may modify, update, suspend, or discontinue the app or any of its features at any time. We may also revise these Terms from time to time; the "Last updated" date above reflects the latest version. Your continued use of the app after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
8. Termination
This license is effective until terminated. Your rights under these Terms terminate automatically if you fail to comply with them. Upon termination, you must stop using the app and delete all copies. You may terminate at any time by deleting the app.
9. Apple
These Terms are between you and the Developer only, not with Apple. Apple is not responsible for the app or its content. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms and, upon your acceptance, have the right to enforce them against you. Apple has no obligation to provide maintenance or support for the app, and is not responsible for addressing any claims relating to the app.
10. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of Egypt, without regard to its conflict-of-laws principles, except as otherwise required by mandatory local consumer-protection laws that apply to you.
